Highlights of PaperCut 18.3

New Integrations

With the roll-out of PaperCut 18.3, companies utilizing G Suite can now sync and authenticate their users with PaperCut MF and NG. This integration allows users to authenticate their Google credentials through a simplified printing process for Chromebook and G Suite users. The transition to the cloud just got much easier for Google G Suite and Google Cloud Identity customers.

By using PaperCut’s Mobility Print and Scan to Google Drive feature, companies will find themselves with a seamless scan, copy and print solution. With only one set of login credentials (from Google) and no additional PaperCut login credentials, remembering logins has been simplified.

This integration is available for all G Suite for Education clients, G Suite Enterprise clients, and Cloud Identity Premium users.

Improved Stapling Options

The new PaperCut Global Print Driver enables stapling in one Find-Me print queue for office equipment from the following tech partners (more coming soon):

  • Ricoh
  • Konica Minolta
  • Xerox
  • Kyocera
  • Riso
  • Lexmark
  • Sharp
  • and Toshiba

When it comes down to it, if your device has stapling capabilities, PaperCut MF now has a stapling option for you.

Kyocera Device Print Job Settings Can Now Be Changed

If you find that you’ve selected to print too many pages or have chosen the wrong account, you now have the ability to change these settings before you print them at the device. PaperCut also raises awareness of environmental impact instantly by showing users where their choices have resulted in cost savings. This encourages thoughtful printing and a greater awareness of print setting consequences (good or bad). Whether you want to switch between single and duplex, or from black and white to color, change charging accounts or the number of copies, the process just got simpler.

For admins, sysadmin now has greater control over print setting options and the ability to improve cost savings.

With these changes, you can rest assured and print with confidence knowing that your print jobs will come out exactly how you want them.

Optical Character Recognition

Forget the days when you had to skim documents by eye to see if they’re the one you were looking for. PaperCut 18.3 brings you text searchable documents with their Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software. This means you can simply scan your documents and search keywords to find them in the future. This current software supports both DocX and PDF.
